ॐ असतो मा सद्गमय

   ॐ   असतो   मा   सद्गमय  । तमसो   मा   ज्योतिर्गमय  । मृत्योर्मा   अमृतं   गमय  । ॐ   शान्तिः   शान्तिः   शान्तिः  ॥ OM Asato ma sad gamaya Tamaso ma jyotir gamaya Mrityor ma Amrutam gamaya  This is a prayer in Sanskrit from the Brihadaranyaka Upanishad that is associated with the Shukla Yajur Veda. The literal meaning is: OM, the Primordial Being Take me from untruth to truth  From darkness to light  From mortality to immortality. May there be peace everywhere and at all times.
